Ana Gabriela Juarez is a distinguished professional with over 20 years of experience in the mining and energy sectors across four continents. Her appointment underscores DPI's commitment to fostering sustainable practices and promoting diversity within the industry.

"I am honoured to join the Board of Directors at DPI," says Ms Juarez. "As a Guatemalan environmental consultant, I look forward to contributing my expertise in creating sustainable solutions for the mining sector. Together, we can drive positive change and continue to shape the responsible future of mining."

Her commitment to education and inspiration extends to her bestselling book, "The Adventures of Ana at the Mine," which aims to encourage young readers, especially girls, to explore the world of mining and STEM sciences.

Peter Bryant, Co-founder and Chair of the Development Partner Institute welcomed Ms Juarez’s appointment: “It’s an honour to welcome Ana to the Board. More than ever, mining needs strong, committed advocacy to facilitate a meaningful energy transition in the coming decades. We’ve no doubt Ana will be instrumental in that.”

“Ana’s knowledge of the industry, added to her financial skills and leadership, has led to excellent outcomes in diverse global mining projects. We’re looking forward to the perspectives she’ll bring to DPI’s programs and positive industry influence,” said Florence Drummond, Executive Director.

The Development Partner Institute looks forward to the valuable contributions Ms Juarez will bring to the organisation, further strengthening its mission to accelerate the delivery of a new future for the mining sector.
